Gratitude and Freedom

The guides on our three-week tour of Europe gave so much of their time and themselves to help us understand the importance of our father's role in the war.  learned how important it is to understand how quickly the freedoms we enjoy can be  from taken from us.  Each each soldier has a story to tell, and so, we found,  does each guide who shared intimate moments of family, country, friend, history, and land so precarious. Their collective goal is to tell the story of hard-fought freedom to all who will listen. We listened. We learned. We share their gratitude.
